Fall Leaf Watercolor

What you need for this Project

Materials:
300 lb watercolor paper
11×14 Frames (comes with precut matboard)
white matboard
charcoal or black matboard
Double Sided Tape
Masking or Hinging Tape

Supplies:
Watercolor Brushes
Watercolor Paint
Palette
Water Cup
rag
Utility Knife
straight Edge
Ruler or Tape Measure
Mat Cutter (optional)

If your matboard isn’t precut, see how to cut it here. The outside dimensions should fit into your frame and the interior should be larger than your leaf by a couple inches. Mine is cut to 1 1/2″.

Mount the charcoal mat board onto the back of your white matboard with masking or hinging tape. Flip it over and use double sided sticky tape or glue dots to mount the leaf to the center of the charcoal mat.

For a frame kit, insert the corners into the bottom of the side pieces and tighten. Connect the side pieces by sliding the bottom pieces into corner fasteners. Tighten the screws.

Slide the glass, leaf and mat, and foam backing into the frame and slide in the wire holders and tighten screws. The add the last two corner brackets to the top piece. Tighten the screws and slide into the sides and tighten.
