Antique White Frame

What you need for this project:

1. Remove the backing and the staples. Sometimes there is brown craft paper covering staples. Some frames have prongs that just need bent up.

2. Discard the art (unless you like it) and set the glass aside. Wipe down the frame with soapy water. Allow it to dry and paint on one coat of white chalk paint. Keep it even. I used a cheap brush in order to leave brush marks. Allow it to dry.

3. Apply a second coat of paint. Again, keep it even. Allow to dry.

4. Use 220 Grit Sandpaper to smooth paint and remove some of the paint to give a weathered appearance
5. Wipe down with damp cloth and apply a coat of antiquing wax. Insert the clean glass, art or picture and backing. Staple into place or lower prongs.
